On April 9, 2019 APICS Columbus got together at Cantina Laredo to hear Dr. Prud’homme introduce the emergence of recent technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and 3D Printing that could potentially change the way many firms are operating now.
With more than 15 years of corporate experience in worldwide supply chain management for companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Advanced Energy Industries and Valor Electronics, Dr. Andrea M. Prud’homme's responsibilities have included managing projects for operations in Europe, Hong Kong, China and Mexico.
Dr. Andrea M. Prud’homme, CPIM-F CSCP CLTD CIR is an Associate Professor – Clinical at The Ohio State University. She has also taught at Colorado State University and Michigan State University where she earned her PhD in Logistics and Operations Management. She is actively involved in APICS at both the local and national level, and has held positions on multiple Certification Exam Committees and with the Academic Committee. She discussed why supply chain professionals need to understand these technologies before they find themselves lagging behind their competitors.
