The November 19, 2019 tour of Lululemon was a real treat.

Lululemon is located at 2200 Spiegel Dr., Groveport, OH 43125.

There is pallet racking for days, packed to the very tall ceilings with inventory.  A lot of boxes come into this distribution center.  They re-use the majority of those boxes for shipping product out.  This practice is a bit time consuming and takes up some storage space itself, but it aligns with their desire to be good stewards of the planet's resources.  This is a sprawling 315,000 square foot facility.  There was a lot of walking on this tour.

Did I mention these racking isles are long?  And during peek staffing they have about 400 employees at this distribution center.

Oh, and there are multiple conveyor streams weaving everywhere.  Not pictured is the music that is piped into every corner of this building.  They play a variety of material to try to satisfy everyone's taste.

And there are packing stations located in quite a few areas.  Notice they use a lot of plastic bags. The majority of their stock can simply be packed in a bag before shipment to a store or customer in a box.

There is a two tier mezzanine where a lot of fast moving small items are kept and picked.  It offers a great vantage point to look out over the operation.  It also gave the tour attendees an opportunity to climb and descend many, many flights of stairs.

Notice there is a cafe/lunch room and beside it sits a yoga room for employees to use.  There is even a ping pong table in the cafe.

Sitting toward the back corner with an all red wall facing us is an exercise room.  We'll see the inside in the next shot.  To the far right you can see the two floors of the mezzanine.  The big black thing poking out of the ceiling (towared the right) might be one of the music speakers.

There is a well equipped exercise room for employees to use.

There is a distribution center store for Lululemon employees to peruse.  Finally!  You were probably wondering what does Lululemon do?  Well, they produce gear for yoga, running, training, swim and travel.  Most of it is manufactured overseas to their specifications.
